The Menopause Cafe is a place for women to come and meet in a non-clinical, warm, friendly, fun and comfortable environment, enjoy a cuppa and share their stories about their experiences. The Cafe is being set up by Forge Community Partnership as part of the New Year New Me healthy lifestyle programme. There will be no promotional products or services present.
Menopause Cafe welcomes all ages, race, ethnicity and social status of those who are experiencing peri, menopause and post menopause. It is simply for women who want to talk openly and without judgement or just to come along and listen.
Kath Spencer Health & Wellbeing Coordinator and Natalie Boswell Learning facilitator from the Forge are passionate about changing the taboo around menopause and prevent some women suffering in silence.
A social group for older people that meets each week offering a friendly welcome to everyone, (men and women) that come along. They are all about health and wellbeing and lots of planned activities.
